90% 12 X face ??
 

My local dealer wants 12 X face on his 90%.....spot is 13.00 --> what ya'll think bout that.....yea....or nay?? I just gotta know. :favorites21:

id pass....im a cheapskate though.... my locals were selling for 11x and 11.5x with silver at 14 and change earlier in the week.

I see 90% at 11.8X in several places on rolls of common date Mercs, no way, they can keep it. It appears these days that .999 is the way to go.

APMEX is running ~12.5x face on $10 of quarters & Franklin halves. About 11x in larger ($500, $1000) face value bags. I guess it all depends on how badly you want to get it from the local source.

12 times face works out to $16.55 an ounce, 12/.725= 16.551724, I would ask about bar/round prices instead.:36_1_30:

12 x seems high to me, and the spot price has taken a big dump the last few days.

You can't buy junk silver at junk prices anymore.

If you disagree, please prove it by selling me your 90%
at $13.27 x .715 = 9.5x face value

It depends on how much you are going to buy. APMEX current price on a roll of common quarters Sell Price: $126.38. A full $1000 sack Sell Price: $11,146.85

IMHO don't haggle over a few FRNs. Just buy while you can get it at a reasonable price.

i just bought some at a coin show for 10.5x

And the only reason i did cuz it was mixed with mercs,walkers, & franklins!!!!!!!!

Man you are taking it up the :moon: I can get U.S. junk silver for 10% under spot with shipping on Ebay and i do even better with old Canadian 80%.
The other day i got a painted silver eagle for $13.60. :565:

I just picked up a roll of Franklins last Saturday at 11 times face. Dealer claimed he had just dropped it from 12 the week before.

I went in to my local coin shop today.

He's selling .90 American junk for 15.50 times face (walker half=$7.75 Canadian)
.80 Canadian junk for 13.5 times face.

I met a fellow that will sell Canadian junk to me at ten times face,so I'm still buying when I can.
